Jeff Kirkham, Founder, Inventor, and Author to open the 2022 Klamath IDEA Talk Season
Klamath IDEA announced today that it will launch the 2022 season of IDEA Talks on March 16th after a two-year hiatus. The event will feature a well-known entrepreneur, inventor and author, Jeff Kirkham.
He has multiple registered patents (including the RATS Tourniquet) and helped found several successful businesses including ReadyMan and Black Rifle Coffee Company. Kirkham served 28 years as a Green Beret (18ZVW7/W8), with over eight years of “boots on the ground” in Afghanistan and Iraq as a member of a counter terrorist direct action unit. He studied six foreign languages, writing and co-authoring multiple non-fiction military and non-military reference works for combat operations, survival and self-defense.
“We could not be more thrilled to re-launch these events with an incredible innovator and entrepreneur like Jeff. We are honored that he agreed to come to the Basin to inspire others by sharing his story, experiences, and accomplishments,” commented Kat Rutledge, Klamath IDEA Director.
Kirkham helped pioneer the post-apocalyptic military thriller genre in 2018 and went on to sell over 300,000 books in all formats through his #1 best-selling series, Black Autumn. He’s a USA Today best-selling author, and ranked #1 best-selling author in science fiction, military thrillers, and post-apocalyptic science fiction.
Jeff has co-written numerous fiction and non-fiction books with preparedness expert, Jason Ross. The author team crafts character-driven tales of collapse, steeped in survival tech and Special Forces military experience to deliver up-all-night reading for lovers of sci-fi, military and preparedness.
The 2022 IDEA Talks season has been generously supported by the Klamath Community College Small Business Development Center, the City of Klamath Falls, Klamath County, the Oregon Community Foundation’s Thriving Entrepreneur’s Program, the Ford Family Foundation’s Growing Rural Oregon program, and through Oregon State Lottery Funds administered by OBDD.
The event will be held at The 9th Street Venue from 5:30-8:30 pm. Food, provided by Girasol Family Mexican Restaurant, and one non-alcoholic drink is included in the $40 per person ticket. A no-host bar will be available. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. for networking and the Talk will start at 6:15 p.m. Attendance will be limited to 140 and tickets must be purchased in advance at Facebook.com/KlamathIDEA or at KlamathIDEA.org on our calendar page.
