About

Oregon Institute of Technology (“Oregon Tech”) is a unique, public polytechnic university that ensures graduates have practical, professional experience before they graduate. Industry partners rely on this difference when they hire our graduates at rates that exceed many other universities. Oregon Tech students are educated in authentic, real-world situations from freshman year forward in labs, in the field, and in workplace experiences. Putting our students through internships, externships and other embedded practice ensures professionals who are ready to work on the day they are hired.

Oregon Tech is a growing public, polytechnic university with two main campuses and other delivery sites across the Pacific Northwest. Campuses include Klamath Falls, Oregon, a traditional residential campus with the largest student population; Portland-Metro campus in Wilsonville, Oregon; an Online campus; and delivery sites in Salem, Oregon at Chemeketa Community College; Seattle, Washington at Boeing; and Scappoose, Oregon at the Oregon Manufacturing Innovation Center R&D (OMIC R&D); and offers low-cost college credits to high schools students statewide. The student population totals about 5,400 across these delivery sites. Student demographics are diverse across our campuses and sites, from first-time freshmen to adult learners; from first-generation students to students whose parents are college graduates; as well as diverse ethnic and economic backgrounds.

Oregon Tech offers innovative, professionally-focused undergraduate and graduate degree programs in engineering, health, business, technology, and applied arts and sciences. To foster student and graduate success, the university provides a hands-on, project-based learning environment and emphasizes innovation, scholarship, and applied research.
